For Kids

Mother Teresa of Calcutta, India, was born over 100 years ago, in 1910. Even as a little kid, she was very stubborn. Her given name was Agnes, but she did not like that name at all. When she was just 18, she decided to become a nun and change her name to Teresa. Her caring nature and stubborn heart worked together to help her help others. She helped so many people, in fact, that she grew up to be awarded the Noble Peace Prize for all that she had accomplished.

The links below share her story. Take a moment and meet a most incredible person - Mother Teresa, who believed if you were stubborn enough, and caring enough, you could change the world and make it better. And she did.
