India is a land of many climates and geographical regions. It ranges from rain forest to desert, from flat plains and huge rivers, to some of the world's tallest mountains. The wildlife found there also has a very wide range. Animal wildlife includes Asian elephants, Royal Bengal tigers, Indian leopards, mischievous monkeys, colonies of hundreds to thousands of flying fox, and poisonous snakes, to name a few!
About 25% of India is dense forest, and makes a perfect habitat for many of India's wild animals. As well, India is home to over 400 national parks. Some of India's animals are endangered.
